A few words…Life and Horses

4th July 2020 By Lisa Pryce-Jones

Horses come and go – slow and fast.  Just like life we can live in the slow lane if we choose or we can gallop very fast.  The choice is down to us.  No one has the right to impose feelings of speed upon us because we have our own clock.  We have our own choice, our own ability to do what we feel is right for us.  Time is different for everybody.  No two people have exactly the same amount of time on the earth plane. And it is partly for that reason that some people decide to live more in the fast line, to cram as much as they  can in, because inwardly they realise that they do not have as long on this planet.  Whereas some other people who live life at a far more slow pace inwardly know they can do so as they have longer.  And whether that is a conscious choice or not it is their choice.  There is no wrong and there is no right.  We all have the ability to make the decision that is right for us and we need to listen to our bodies because our bodies tell us what we need to know.

Each and every day we make decisions and we look inwardly and decide if those decisions are right for us.  Sometimes we know that they are not right for us but we do it anyway.  Whether that is for financial gain, or to keep other people happy or for any other reason and it really does not matter.  But what I am asking you to think about and consider is what is right for you because you are responsible for your life.  Nobody else has responsibility for your life so it is down to you what you do, the decisions that you make, the choices that you make are all your responsibility and all too often it is easy for people to hand over their responsibility for their decisions to other people and to apportion blame even.  But that really isn’t what is needed in this world.

We all have to take responsibility for our choices, for our actions and only by taking responsibility for our actions will we be able to make better choices collectively.  Because collectively we know the world needs everybody to pull together, to look at the causes of the issues and to look at what is needed for our world to become a better place.  And for our world to become a better place each and every person has to take their sense of responsibility seriously and by doing that, collectively, each village, each town, each city is able to make differences and when cities make differences countries make differences and when countries make differences the whole world can become a much different and better place to live.  Just like grains of sand one grain of sand on its own cannot make a beach but collectively they can make a beach.

So I’m asking you now to consider your life, your actions, your consequences and most importantly your responsibilities to yourself.  Do you accept responsibilities for the decisions you’ve made, the actions you have carried out or do you try to pass the blame to someone else, abstaining from your responsibility at any given cost? And as you contemplate your actions, your feelings, your behaviours with regard to responsibility maybe you can think about the entire world and what you would like to do – what responsibilities you would like to contribute towards to help our world become a better and much brighter place.

A few words…Life and Vinegar

28th June 2020 By Lisa Pryce-Jones

Life is like a jug of vinegar.  On the outside it is nice to touch, nice to look at, but sometimes inside the vinegar can be much sharper than you expect.  It can be great if you like vinegar on your fish and chips but we don’t always like to have vinegar splashed all over our food and life is very much like a jug of vinegar.  Each and every day we have different things thrown at us.  Each and every day we have moments that are sweet, pleasant and cherished.  Then there are other moments that are much sharper and much harder to bear.  The very nature of life is that we do not know what is coming.  There is uncertainty all around us and we desperately try to cling to a little bit of control and a little bit of certainty to keep us focussed and thinking as positively as we can.

But sometimes we are thrown off track for a reason and that reason might not always sit comfortably with us at the time.  That reason might be something that we have no comprehension about at this moment in time.  Perhaps we have made decisions and we are on the wrong path but we do not realise it.  Perhaps we are seeking things that are monetary based rather than what is inside our hearts and life has a habit sometimes of knocking us off the path that we have set for ourselves.  Because when we come to this earth plane we all have a purpose, we all have a purpose that we need to achieve in terms of life goals and our life goals are there for a reason.  They are there for us  to be able to develop oneself throughout our lifetime and in subsequent lifetimes we will be able to develop those as well as other skills that we need to and it is all part of our development.

Our development as souls through the lifetimes and this is exactly what is happening at this moment in time.  So many people are on the wrong pathway. So many people are making decisions that are simply not right for us and not right for our planet and everyone has to be taken off their current pathway to reconsider, re-evaluate what is important in life in order that some can go onto new pathways, others can return on their existing pathway.  Whilst to many this may seem futile in the overall grand scheme of things, looking at the entire world, it is so important because we want to be able to live our life knowing that we can hand down things to our children, grandchildren and so forth.  If the world continues exactly as it is the world will not be a very nice place at all.

There will always be challenges, there will always be opportunities, there will always be risks, but collectively working together, united, we can do so much more.  So perhaps today you can reflect about what you are doing, at this moment in time, on your current pathway.  Is it what your heart desires? Are you doing what you feel is your calling?  Have you made decisions that were wrong and more importantly what can you do about it now to make those changes?  What can you do moving forward for the rest of your life to help both those around you and to help the planet?  Think of your family to come, think of the generations and how life could be in a world where everyone supported each other, in a world where everyone appreciated each other and in a world where everybody respected each other.  For it is not your salary that counts it is how you are as a person.

A few words…Love and what you can do to make our world a better place

7th June 2020 By Lisa Pryce-Jones

Love should be patient and love should be kind.  Love should be all consuming and love should be all around each and every one of us.  It is so easy to become consumed – to become consumed with fear, jealousy and even hatred on occasions.  In these difficult times we need to focus on love.  Love conquers everything.  We are all equal and that is needed at this moment in time.  Every person has a contribution, every person has a worth.  No one person is worth more than another.  We all have qualities, we all have attributes and they have to be recognised, valued and appreciated.

To be loved means everything.  To be loved you cannot put a price on and to love yourself is really, really important and so powerful.   Because when you love yourself you are able then to project love outwardly to all of those around you – your family, your friends, those that are close and also those that are part of your day.  The people you pass in the street, your colleagues and by showing love outwardly you project love without realising it.

Everything that you do will have a chain reaction so showing love in common things whether that is sports, activities or anything else, being kind to people, it all generates further acts of love and love really does make the world go around.  If someone is kind to us, very often without realising it, we are subsequently kind to someone else and so forth it goes on and on and on.  So when you look in the mirror today ask yourself are you loving yourself, are you being kind to yourself, are you loving those around you within your home, are you extending love to the family and friends that you cannot see at the moment but perhaps you could by using technology or the good old telephone.  For your colleagues are you being patient, are you able to go a step further and do more to help those?

Because everyone is in a time of need at the moment, with all the uncertainty of the pandemic,  everybody is suffering to one degree or another.  By showing this love, showing this solidarity it helps us to be able to move forward.  To move forward and make the world a better place, a kinder place, a place where we want to be able to live and each and every day, by making just small changes both to ourselves and to other people, we are able to change the world one step and one day at a time and yes you can make a difference.  We can all make a difference.

We use our votes, we use our purchasing power, our words, our actions and they speak volumes.  They speak volumes about us as individuals, as people and if we stand up for our rights as people we are able to influence.  We are able to bring down those huge conglomerates that want to just generate affluence for the minority.  We can stop it by using our own purchasing power.  We can use smaller businesses instead.  We can support those that are close to us.  We can discourage shipments for deliveries to be made all over the world cheaply.  We do have that power by loving ourselves, loving each other and loving our planet – we can do so much. We have the power, we have the ability and we can make that change.  So perhaps this afternoon you can make some changes yourself, think of  small things that you can do at this moment in time and think of some things that you can do longer term – perhaps next week, next month or even next year. Because we all have that capacity within us, we all have the capacity to make those changes. Love is all around us remember.  If we choose to look we will see it.

Mr George Stone

26th May 2020 By Lisa Pryce-Jones

This morning was the funeral of Mr George Stone who was an amazing Spiritual and Crystal Healer who founded Newport Holism Centre.  It was a privilege to have trained with George and his team and to have worked alongside him giving healing to people at various Mind, Body & Spirit events.  Such a gentle, compassionate and genuine person who was cherished by so many people.  Due to the pandemic we were unable to attend his funeral but we were able to stand on the main road outside the Langstone Village Hall (where the Newport Holism Centre meet and give healing voluntarily weekly) and pay our respects as George made his final trip with his family to Langstone Crematorium.

He has made such a huge contribution by spreading his love of healing and his work will continue by all of those that he trained as well as those people whose lives he touched along the way.

Back home now in the arms of your angels George – thank you for everything.  We know that you will continue to work through us.

Love and light

Would you like a beautiful bird or squirrel table which was hand made in Wales?

23rd May 2020 By Lisa Pryce-Jones

During the pandemic I have, on a voluntary basis, been giving staff at the disability charity Leonard Cheshire  care homes Hypnotherapy and Healing to help them rise to the challenges they face.  Additionally I have been leading a team of Reiki Healers to provide healing to both residents and staff at the care homes in Wales.

In order to raise money towards providing each care home with a lovely cosy relaxing space to receive healing my partner David (who is also one of the Healers) has been making beautiful bird/squirrel tables.  We are supplying all of the materials and labour personally so the entire nutty donation of £15 goes directly to this wonderful cause.

If you would like to buy one of these beautiful bird/squirrel benches either as a gift for yourself or as a surprise for someone else please make your contribution on the JustGiving website  https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/lisa-pryce-jones1 and message me with your address and we will be organise squirreldeliveroo swiftly or collection can be arranged from Rhiwderin, Newport.

There are now 20 of these fully assembled and stained beauties ready and waiting to be put in your garden.  Some hedgehog homes and mud kitchens will also be available soon.

Thank you so much for your support.

Mental Health Awareness Week – Kindness

19th May 2020 By Lisa Pryce-Jones

We all need to be kind both to ourselves and to others.  Each and every day we are harsh and we are most harsh to ourselves.  We have such high expectations of our self and we worry about things that really do not warrant worrying about.  If we all take a step backwards and take some time we can see what really matters and what does not matter and very often, by taking this time to reflect and look at our inner needs, we realise that actually what we worry about, what causes us great anxiety and even dread, really doesn’t warrant worrying about.

We need the basics in life yes and there are indeed many people who are struggling to achieve this at present.  However, there are many people who are not struggling with the basics and this is where it is much easier to make that transition.  The transition can be made very swiftly just by changing your thought process, by keeping your mind in the present moment, by keeping your mind present in all the things that you do each and every day.  From the time you wake up, having a shower, washing your face, preparing drinks, meals, talking with people, your work, any activities that you enjoy outside of work.

By keeping your mind focussed on whatever it is – noticing all the different things there are to be noticed using all of your senses – your sight, hearing, touch etc. and by using all of your senses it brings you to a sense of being in that present moment, even for a short while and that really does help you.  It grounds you, it connects you to the Earth, it connects you to where you are supposed to be – enjoying each and every moment that we have on this Earth.  You know that tomorrow is not guaranteed.  So we certainly need to plan for tomorrow but we have to use today and make the most of today.

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week and what I really want to share with you and reiterate again is being kind.  Being kind to both yourself and others.  Because when you are not kind to yourself it is like a form of self-harm or even torture and you are doing it to yourself.  You are bullying yourself.  You are denying yourself the opportunity to be able to enjoy this time that you have at this moment.  So plan, look forward to things, that is really important, embrace those moments when you get the opportunity.  Whether that is to see friends, loved ones, do activities that you enjoy or doing whatever your role is in work.

We all need to be helping each other, listening to each other and by listening to each other and talking we are able to offload so much.  I’m thinking now of a pot of tea at a table and how so much can get exchanged just by having a cup of tea.  What stops you from sharing your thoughts? It could be trust issues, maybe you have been burnt in the past.  But if we all open up more, if we are all honest about what’s going on, we can all look forward, make changes that are needed in our lives to help us  to achieve what we want and what we need in our life in order that we can achieve contentment.

Contentment is what we should all be aspiring too.  The thought that we should all be happy all of the time is simply not possible.  Our emotions, our thoughts will change through the day, they fluctuate.  There are peaks and there are troughs but we can find contentment in things that we do all throughout the day and we can be pleased with ourselves – with the jobs that we feel we have achieved well and that might be literally getting ready in the morning, making a meal, mowing the grass, reading a book or anything else for that matter and it really does not matter.

What matters is that you have done something.  You have contributed and it feels so good within us when we achieve something.  Not everyone is capable of achieving the same things and there are a variety of reasons for that.  Some people are physically unable to do so and that’s perfectly fine but they can do what they are able to do and that’s really important – that everybody contributes and does the best that they are able and that they are content with.

So perhaps over the forthcoming days you can think about your own health and ask yourself what do you need to achieve contentment? What can you do each and every day to gain pleasure from those things around us that are not guaranteed?  There is so much beauty around us and very often we are too busy looking elsewhere to notice it.

Perhaps you can take some time and perhaps you can reflect upon your own life with the beauty of the world that is around you and by doing so each and every day, just like the beauty around you, we can find the beauty in each other and in ourselves.

Love & Light

A message from spirit…Recipes for Success

11th May 2020 By Lisa Pryce-Jones

Every recipe has its ingredients in order for the outcome to be as we intend. Every recipe has to be organised, you could just put it all together and it might be okay, but the chances are much greater when you know what you are doing – perhaps when you have done it before or perhaps when you know on the balance of probability that what you are doing is reasonable.  At the moment we have recipes but we have recipes for disaster because nothing is balanced, nothing is being organised, everything is being thrown in.  And we cannot afford for things to be thrown in because lives are at stake and when people have their own agenda thinking purely of their own cake nothing works.

One huge cake is enough to be shared by the entire world.  There is more than enough for everybody to go around. We have to stop being greedy, we have to stop being ashamedly greedy.

There are so many people whose goals and aspirations are purely to accumulate wealth.  Wealth does not enable you to be happy.  Having enough is what you really need to aspire too.  There is only so much that we can use in our lifetime.  There is only so much monetary purpose we can have.  But it feels so good to know that we can make a difference in our world.  Whatever that may be, whether that is talking to someone in the street, helping in a particular charity, helping a neighbour or whatever it is your role is equally as important as anybody else’s.  It really does not matter how much you are paid.  Of course you need shelter, food, luxuries to be able to treat yourself to niceties I understand that.  However, what is really important is love.

Love is everywhere but we choose, at the moment, not to look.  As a result of everything that is happening in the world right now more love will be displayed.  It will take time.  But it will happen because it has to happen. We cannot continue to behave in this manner, if we want our world to survive that is.  Each and everyone plays their part.  Each and everyone has their part to play, to keep our world moving.  We all want a better place to live.  We all want bluer skies, cleaner air, happier animals and we are all able to achieve that by working together.

But it takes drastic action, drastic action on a grand scale to get people to listen.  So perhaps now you can sit back, reflect, evaluate and decide what it is that you want for the rest of your life, your children’s lives, your grandchildren’s lives and so forth.  For you have the control, each and every person has a responsibility and through your actions you are able to make change and you are able to make considerable change should you choose to do so.  The world is in your hands, go forth and make your decisions confidently, wisely, morally and ethically.

A message from spirit on VE Day…Love

8th May 2020 By Lisa Pryce-Jones

Love is all around us if we look. Love is all around the world if we look.  But very often our eyes are blinkered. We are so busy focussing on what we need to do or have to do then we don’t look beyond what is immediately in front of us.  Across the world there are so many wrongs that are taking place at this moment and it has taken this extreme measure to be able to get people’s attention and to get people’s attention in the right way – to open their eyes.  To open their eyes to the possibilities that there can be freedom, there can be a different world to what exists at the moment.  There is so much disparity – the rich poor divide is huge and it is unfair and it is wrong and we need now to be able to focus and look at what is right, what is ethical, what is morale and to be able to do that we have to look inwardly.  Because everything that we need is within us.  It is in our heart.  Love is what is really important and love really does make the world go around.

So today, take some time to appreciate your freedom, take some time to appreciate all of the things that you have in your life because you now know that nothing is guaranteed.  And for all of those that are suffering think about the longer term picture, which might seem very difficult and a long way away from now. But there are reasons why things happen as hard as that may seem at present.

There are reasons why things happen and we must just accept that although we might not necessarily understand it and move on.  Very often great things come out of very sad situations and this is what is going to happen.  Great things will come but firstly changes have to be made and those changes have to be made on a huge level because there are victims and there are survivors.

Survivors will go on and be able to make changes and each and every person in the world can make a difference and make change.  So as you sit back now and think of what you can do, you can make a huge difference.  When you think of who you work for,  who you buy from, who you sell too even.

By doing things on a local level you are able to make those changes worldwide. If we all buy local then our farmers will not need to export, if we buy local our food source will be fresher and more local for us.  If we go on holidays more local we won’t need to have the aeroplanes in the sky like we have.  If we decide to buy and eat more local foods we won’t need to have all the boats or aeroplanes with all of the things we demand 365 days of the year.  We as individuals have that power.  We as individuals are responsible by changing our behaviours we can make a difference.

By sending love to our neighbours, colleagues, family, friends we make a difference.  The way we speak to people, the way in which we engage or deal with things on a day to day basis will help us.  It is not easy and we are not saying it is easy because life isn’t easy there are plenty of challenges.  But when we come to the Earth plane we decide that we want those challenges.  We want to test our patience, resilience, courage, confidence and life’s challenges certainly do test those.  Everything is achievable with love in our hearts, love in our thoughts and love in the future.

A message from spirit…Belief in our self

5th May 2020 By Lisa Pryce-Jones

When we have belief in our self we also have belief in the world around us.  The world around us can be a very scary and intimidating place on occasions.  There is so much uncertainly, so much that we just don’t know about life and it can be really scary on occasions.   But when we focus on ourselves, when we focus simply on ourselves, we can find contentment and when we find contentment everything else in the world doesn’t seem quite so scary.  By finding that inner peace, that inner calmness, you will be able to project to the world how you feel, not how you think you want to be perceived and there is a big difference here.  Because when we feel inside that inner calm and confidence, we exude confidence we exude calmness, but when its false, when its misleading, that just causes inner turmoil and that inner turmoil leads to further issues downstream with our health – both mental and physical.

Each and every day we should find contentment in all the simple things in life.  From the time we wake up in the morning to the time we go to bed it should be in everything that we do – the food that we eat, drinks, the conversations we have, all our activities.

The work that we do should be meaningful and should have a purpose because we have to value both ourselves and what we are doing because we all need to feel that we are making a contribution.  A contribution in terms of society, a contribution to the world.  Not everyone can have the perfect job but we should all play our part and it’s important that every person’s contribution is considered equally as important and if we do not have the exact job that we want then we should still work towards it and should still continue to endeavor to do things outside that give us that level of satisfaction and give us that feeling that yes we are contributing effectively.  Because believing in yourself is believing in the whole world around you.  The whole world needs to believe.  It needs to believe that everything is possible.

We can make our world such a better place should we choose too.  Should we make morale decisions?  Should we be ethical? Should we want meaning?

Life is life buses in many ways.  There are lots of journeys, there are lots of maps, everything is linked up and by setting some new routes we are able to explore new places.  We are able to explore new opportunities are we are able to explore greater things than we ever thought was possible by just thinking slightly outside the box and travelling that little bit further than we have been prepared to before.

Now I am being made aware of the beach, in particular the sand on the beach and as I look at the sand I feel the grains and I know that each grain has a major contribution.  It has travelled so very far to get to this beach and each grain of sand collectively makes a beach, just like each person on the earth plane. Collectively we can do so very much if we choose too if we want to have a life that is really enjoyable, that is valued. We need to make those changes.  So comparing ourselves to grains of sand on the beach, each equal but all unique, that’s what we need to do.

And in this time of change, in this time of chaos we need to find calmness and tranquility because it’s when we look inside and we find that calmness and tranquility that’s when the shifts take place and it can take quite a while for shifts to take place within you or it can be instantaneous.  There is no right or wrong.  We all have lessons to learn and that is exactly why we are here.  So think, reflect, evaluate and make the changes that you feel are right for you because your intuition is always right.

A message from spirit….Stones

3rd May 2020 By Lisa Pryce-Jones

Stones can be large boulders or they can be tiny.  But both are as equally  as important as each other because they all play a part.  They all play a part in the overall goal whether that is to build a wall, fill a railway line or anything else for that matter.  Each and every stone is unique just like every person is unique.  Lots of different facets, attributes, skills, qualities  and it is important as people that we recognise these different attributes, qualities and skills within each other.  There is no need to be competitive because there are plenty of opportunities for everybody.

Very often in today’s world we measure  our success in monetary terms and this results in us then having a pecking order trying to strive and reach up that ladder, up that pecking order, in order to achieve that material goal.  But ultimately there is plenty for everybody and if we work together we are able to achieve so much more collectively.

When we look now at the planetary crisis we can sit back, do what we need to individually, or we can reach out to those in need.  We can reach out to all of the various projects, all the various opportunities that are there that present themselves to each other and by collectively holding our hands out to the world we are able to embrace the world as a humanity and only by doing that will things start to improve considerably.  The oceans will start to be cleaner, our air will start to be more pure, the way in which we live our lives will be more basic but more grounded and that’s what we really, truly need at this time.  We need to be able to put our feet on the ground and feel the roots come from our feet down into Mother Earth to keep and maintain that connection with Mother Earth where we are from and by doing that we can recharge our batteries each and every day.

Just by taking a walk on the grass for example you feel that connection to Mother Earth, you feel that coldness, each blade of grass upon your feet.  As you walk you feel the connection not just in your feet but in your heart and every part of your body and it’s time now for us to reconnect with nature, reconnect with our bodies, reconnect with our mind and by doing this, taking this time to truly appreciate the simple but the essential things in life we will be able to regain that connection with ourselves.  We will feel more calm, relaxed, confident and more in control and by doing that we will be able to improve the relationships with those around us – with our partners, husbands, wives, sons, daughters, mothers, fathers etc  and by doing this by embracing our family, friends, colleagues, comrades we will feel that we have much more of a purpose in life.

Our life will become more meaningful, more enjoyable and that is the satisfaction that we are craving because this satisfaction will last much longer than anything from buying an item or achieving a monetary goal.  That is what we need to aspire to. Think about it.  Reach out and do what you can at this time for you know it is the right thing to do.  This is the start of a new journey.  A new journey for you to find a better person in you.  To find a happier you and to find a more content you.

Love and light
