Spiritual Healing

17th July 2017 By Lisa Pryce-Jones

Spiritual Healing

What is Spiritual Healing?

Spiritual HealingSpiritual Healing is a natural energy therapy that complements conventional medicine by treating the whole person – mind, body and spirit.

Healers act as a conduit for transferring healing ‘universal’ energy to the person who needs it and the benefits can be felt on many levels – physical, mental and emotional. No faith is required and it is suitable for most people including children and animals.

In accordance with ‘NHS Choices’ your Doctor can refer you for Spiritual Healing if it is felt that it will be beneficial and you also have a right to request Spiritual Healing.

Healing can also take place in hospitals with the agreement of the Doctor responsible for your care plan.

If you are unable to attend the clinics then healing can still be administered via Distance Healing. This is just as effective as the ‘Laying of Hands’.

Lisa trained with Mr George Stone (Newport Holism Centre), who has over forty years of experience providing spiritual healing, and she is accredited with the Healer Practitioner Association International. Throughout the year Lisa attends various health and wellbeing events, along with other Newport Holism Centre healers, to provide spiritual healing.

What happens during the therapy session?

A brief consultation takes place to allow you to meet with the Healer and a full explanation of what is involved in the spiritual healing process is provided.  If you are then happy to continue the Healer will ask you to complete a consultation form and then healing will be given whilst you are sat on a chair or laying on the therapy bed. If you are happy for the Healer to place hands on non-sensitive parts of your body then ‘Laying of Hands’ contact healing will take place.  If you would prefer to just have hand-to-hand contact please let the Healer know.  The duration of Healing varies between 10-20 minutes.  The Healer will then provide you with a glass of water and ask you for feedback of your healing experience.

How does it feel to receive healing?

Most recipients describe receiving healing as being a very relaxing and calming experience.  Each person’s healing experience is unique and you may experience feelings of warmth, coolness, tingling or none of these.  What happens for you is right for you.

How many sessions are required?

Sometimes just one session is all you need.  However, for more chronic health conditions and where there are underlying issues further sessions may be required.

Past Life Regression

16th July 2017 By Lisa Pryce-Jones

Past Life Regression

What is Past Life Regression therapy?

Past Life RegressionIn Past Life Regression therapy the Hypnotherapist uses hypnosis to enable the client to access memories of past lives which are normally hidden in the sub-conscious mind.  By accessing these memories you are able to gain a better understanding of your current life.  It can also help to heal you from experiences in previous lifetimes which detrimentally impact upon your current life.

I first witnessed Past Life Regression in practice over twelve years ago when Tony Rae (the world’s leading past life regressionist and Chairman of the British Council of Professional Hypnotists) ran a course at The Hill Education & Conference Centre in Abergavenny where I then worked.  I was astonished at just how much infinite detail people gave of their past lives and from that point I had to find out more.  I have subsequently been regressed on several occasions and this has given me a greater understanding of my current life.  In addition to my hypnotherapy training I then studied Past Life Regression at the London College of Clinical Hypnosis and I am an accredited member of The Past Life Therapist Association.

Why would Past Life Regression therapy be beneficial?

Some clients simply want to find out more about their past lives out of curiosity.  The information obtained can be very specific (dates, names, places, relationships etc.) and many clients go on to research and validate the information obtained.

Many clients who gain a greater understanding of their past lives achieve greater insight into their current life and can then achieve a better understanding of their life today (e.g. why they are attracted to certain interests or places).

Whereas other clients may have specific problems in their current life, which they have not been able to resolve, and want to determine if the past lives are part of the cause.  By identifying the cause the Hypnotherapist is then able to provide healing to the client allowing them to move forward in the current life.

So what will you encounter in your past lives?

Each past life is a unique journey and adventure for both the client and hypnotherapist.  Some people discover lives that they have shared with people that they have a close bond with in their present life. Others are drawn to certain places or countries that they immediately feel comfortable and familiar with. Should you wish to you can also explore your future too.

Where can I find out further information about Past Life Regression therapy?

I recommend Dr Raymond Moody’s book – Coming Back: A Psychiatrist Explores Past-Life Journeys.

Hypnotherapy NewportI offer hypnotherapy to clients in Newport, Cardiff, Blackwood, Caerphilly, Chepstow, Aberdare, Cowbridge and the surrounding areas with conveniently located, professional, welcoming and relaxing clinics at Rhiwderin Village, Newport and Fleur de Lys, Blackwood.

Hypnotherapy could help with conditions shown in the list on the right of the page.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is hypnotherapy and how does the treatment work?

Hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis to resolve emotional issues, make self-improvements and manage pain effectively. Hypnosis is a relaxed state in which the client becomes highly responsive to agreed suggestions which will improve the client’s wellbeing. It enables the hypnotherapist to work with the subconscious part of the client’s mind which is far more powerful than the conscious mind.

Can everybody be hypnotised?

Hypnosis is a natural state of mind that everybody experiences regularly. How often when driving or reading a book do you lose time? This is a form of hypnosis.

The ability to be hypnotised is not related to intelligence, personality, character or imagination.

Hypnosis has been around since time began and guided hypnosis has been used for several hundred years. It has been endorsed by the British Medical Association for the last 60 years or so.

The majority of people can be hypnotised safely and effectively. However, there are certain medical conditions and instances where hypnotherapy is not deemed suitable for. At your first appointment details of your medical history are taken in order to assess your suitability for hypnotherapy. In certain instances we may request a letter from your GP confirming that they are happy for you to pursue hypnotherapy treatment, may defer your session or may inform you that you are not suitable for hypnotherapy.

Will I remember what happens during the session?

Yes- most people remember what happens during their therapy. However, just like when you watch the television, you might not be able to recall all of the details as you may feel so relaxed that you ‘switch off’ momentarily. However, the subconscious mind pays attention to everything.

Your therapy is personalised to meet your needs and is discussed and agreed with you prior to the therapy taking place. You will be in complete control during the therapy session and can even speak to the hypnotherapist should you wish to do so.

Can I get trapped in hypnosis?

No– if the trance is not completed by the hypnotherapist the client would either fall asleep or more likely get bored and awake.

Can hypnotherapy wear off in time?

No– we are retraining your mind not sticking a plaster onto you.

How will it feel to be hypnotised?

We all experience the hypnotic trance many times throughout the day. Just before you go to sleep your body senses slow down allowing you to gently drift off to sleep. The hypnotic trance feels similar to this relaxed drifting off feeling but there is one main difference – when in a hypnotic state you do not go to sleep and your subconscious mind actively listens to the agreed suggestions which the hypnotherapist makes. The majority of clients describe their hypnotherapy therapy as being a very relaxing experience.

How will I feel after a hypnotherapy session?

Most people feel a sense of deep calm and relaxation after a session.

Will I be safe to drive after a session?

Yes – you will be in complete control of your faculties after a hypnotherapy session.

How many sessions am I likely to need?

In most cases, between 2 and 6 sessions are required dependent upon both the client and the issue being treated. For example help with smoking cessation and simple phobias are normally 2 sessions but long standing and more complex issues may take longer (e.g. low mood/severe phobias/trauma). At your first consultation Lisa will assess your needs and inform you how many sessions are likely to be needed.

Is everything I say treated confidentially?

Yes – Lisa is bound by the strict code of confidentiality and ethics of the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).

If you would like to make an enquiry about a condition you have to see whether hypnotherapy could help you, please don’t hesitate to contact me for further information.
