Empowering you to become healthier and happier
Empowering you to become healthier and happier

Th
e world is full of tunnels. Tunnels through mountains, tunnels under the ground and without tunnels we would be so restricted. With tunnels we are able to move so much freer and easier. But sometimes being too mobile isn’t a good thing because when we are too mobile we spread ourselves too thinly, we don’t develop relationships that are close and meaningful always.
So perhaps now is the time to embrace those that are closer to you to develop relationships that are much closer to home. For we only truly connect when we invest in time and it has to be quality time.
“If only we have time” so many people say. But you are able to make the time should you wish too prioritising what is really important to you in line with your own personal values.
Everyone has the ability to develop and create a life that is meaningful. Everyone has the ability to create a life that is happier for them. Indeed there are circumstances but circumstances and hurdles can be overcome. We don’t have to suffer needlessly. We can reach out and get help from those around us – those that are nearest and dearest to us. There is so much support available if you look around. But sometimes we are too focussed looking inwards or perhaps focussing on what we don’t have that we don’t see what we do have and we do have the strengths within us to overcome whatever we want or need to.
We have that resilience, that inner confidence, that inner belief in ourselves and sometimes it gets suppressed for a variety of reasons but that can just as easily be obtained and it can be obtained then nurtured to enable you to make those steps you want in the right direction to achieve the life that you want and that you deserve.
So what is stopping you now from achieving the life that you want and the life that you deserve? Step out of your comfort zone, challenge yourself, love yourself and believe in yourself so that you too can this make this world a better place one step and one day at a time.

Love should be patient and love should be kind. Love should be all consuming and love should be all around each and every one of us. It is so easy to become consumed – to become consumed with fear, jealousy and even hatred on occasions. In these difficult times we need to focus on love. Love conquers everything. We are all equal and that is needed at this moment in time. Every person has a contribution, every person has a worth. No one person is worth more than another. We all have qualities, we all have attributes and they have to be recognised, valued and appreciated.
To be loved means everything. To be loved you cannot put a price on and to love yourself is really, really important and so powerful. Because when you love yourself you are able then to project love outwardly to all of those around you – your family, your friends, those that are close and also those that are part of your day. The people you pass in the street, your colleagues and by showing love outwardly you project love without realising it.
Everything that you do will have a chain reaction so showing love in common things whether that is sports, activities or anything else, being kind to people, it all generates further acts of love and love really does make the world go around. If someone is kind to us, very often without realising it, we are subsequently kind to someone else and so forth it goes on and on and on. So when you look in the mirror today ask yourself are you loving yourself, are you being kind to yourself, are you loving those around you within your home, are you extending love to the family and friends that you cannot see at the moment but perhaps you could by using technology or the good old telephone. For your colleagues are you being patient, are you able to go a step further and do more to help those?
Because everyone is in a time of need at the moment, with all the uncertainty of the pandemic, everybody is suffering to one degree or another. By showing this love, showing this solidarity it helps us to be able to move forward. To move forward and make the world a better place, a kinder place, a place where we want to be able to live and each and every day, by making just small changes both to ourselves and to other people, we are able to change the world one step and one day at a time and yes you can make a difference. We can all make a difference.
We use our votes, we use our purchasing power, our words, our actions and they speak volumes. They speak volumes about us as individuals, as people and if we stand up for our rights as people we are able to influence. We are able to bring down those huge conglomerates that want to just generate affluence for the minority. We can stop it by using our own purchasing power. We can use smaller businesses instead. We can support those that are close to us. We can discourage shipments for deliveries to be made all over the world cheaply. We do have that power by loving ourselves, loving each other and loving our planet – we can do so much. We have the power, we have the ability and we can make that change. So perhaps this afternoon you can make some changes yourself, think of small things that you can do at this moment in time and think of some things that you can do longer term – perhaps next week, next month or even next year. Because we all have that capacity within us, we all have the capacity to make those changes. Love is all around us remember. If we choose to look we will see it.

As I meditated today these inspired thoughts came into my mind…I hope you benefit from them too:
At this time of year we often feel low in our mood as Autumn approaches, the temperature lowers, sunshine decreases and autumnal leaves appear. It is normal for us to prepare for the winter months that lay ahead. Start to feed ourselves with hearty filling foods to fend off colds and to allow our bodies the best chance of surviving the hardest season of the year. Whilst times may well have changed over the years our bodies are effectively the same.
We have the same primary purpose…to survive. As Mental Health Awareness Day takes place today perhaps you can reflect on both your own and others well-being – all those around you (family, friends, colleagues, neighbours). We all face challenges, hardships and losses etc.. But together, by nurturing and providing support we can overcome the worst of those. Unity is so important. Helping each other whether it is a kind word, deed or action. By helping each other we feel good about ourselves and our kind deed will often set off a chain reaction of kindness.
So as you start to prepare yourself for Winter (mind and body) remember to be kind to both yourself and others, be grateful for everything that you have in your life and have hope that you will be able to enjoy tomorrow. Focus on spending as much time as possible enjoying the present moment as tomorrow is not guaranteed.
Sprouts should only be here at Christmas and daffodils should only be here in Spring. Everything has a reason. Everything has a purpose. Believe it. Know it. Trust it. Live it.
I hope that you have enjoyed reading this. Please like and share so that others can too.
Best wishes
