Good Friday…A time for reflection?

2nd April 2021 By Lisa Pryce-Jones

What is good about Good Friday many may say.  But Good Friday is a time for reflection.  A time to look back on life and to consider the hardship and the suffering of many.  Each day there is so much suffering in the world and whilst it seems so unfair, at times, suffering is needed on occasions.  Suffering is needed so that other people can benefit.  However, the world does not have to be that way.  If everyone had more compassion for each other and if everyone had more love for each other the world could and would be so very different.  For it is only when we prioritise material gain, usually money, over health and wellbeing. Good Friday is indeed a time for reflection, to look back at the suffering indeed of Jesus Christ, but also to look at the suffering of everybody on this planet … [Read more...]

Words of Wisdom…Mother’s Day

14th March 2021 By Lisa Pryce-Jones

Love is patient and love is kind.  Love is different things to different people.  Today, on Mother’s Day, there are additional pressures upon people.  People that feel lonely, people that have been bereaved, people that have never been able to have a family of their own feel even more lonely than usual on today Mothering Sunday.  But what does it really mean?  Just because somebody buys you a bunch of flowers or another gift on Mothering Sunday doesn’t make them a better person than someone that doesn’t.  Of course we all like to think that we are being cherished but this doesn’t mean that we are valued any less if we do not receive gifts that others may well have.  They may well be displays of gratitude and generous displays but these very often hide a multitude of other things – whether … [Read more...]

Happy St David’s Day…What does yellow mean to you?

1st March 2021 By Lisa Pryce-Jones

When we look at daffodils we see sunshine.  We can feel the sunshine pouring down over us and it fills us with a sense of calmness and peace.  For a moment as we are focussing on the bright yellow and the warmth we are fixed in that moment and it is a wonderful place to be.  When we are surrounded by yellow we feel uplifted and nourished and that is why it is important for us to incorporate yellow into our lives.  Whether it is yellow that we are seeing in flowers, yellow that we are wearing or yellow that we are eating it all helps us in our daily lives.  So today on St David’s Day as you look around at the daffodils perhaps you can reflect on how you feel as you look at the colour yellow whether it is in daffodils, lemons as you are baking, yellow that you are wearing or anything else.  … [Read more...]

A few words…Grief

25th February 2021 By Lisa Pryce-Jones

Grief is something that cannot truly be explained.  Grief is overwhelming.  Grief is so powerful that it turns your world upside down.  No one can prepare you for it.  Grief is a representation of just how much that you have loved and you have lost.  There are various stages that you go through in the process of healing following grief.  There is no right way to grieve because  we are all unique.  We have to take just one day at a time and even one hour and one minute at a time in order that we can see that there will be light at the end of this difficult and challenging tunnel. It is so hard to comprehend when you are supporting somebody else going through grief.  It is like having your heart ripped out of your chest.  But each and every day you will get stronger and you will be able … [Read more...]

A few words…Depression

20th February 2021 By Lisa Pryce-Jones

“What is depression?”  is a question that is asked so very often.  Very simply depression is despair and hopelessness.  This is very often associated with traumatic experiences and sometimes it is triggered by something fairly mundane but it is the chain reaction that causes this state.  By looking at the life in a holistic manner you are able to make changes very quickly and very deeply.  Each and every one of us start off undamaged but as we go through the experience of life itself that is where traumas, changes and everything else that happens to us impacts upon our mental and physical being.  “Why is this the case?”  you may ask.  The answer is not a simple one I’m afraid.  But going back to depression, despair and hopelessness can be addressed fairly swiftly. We have to look at our … [Read more...]

A few words…Damage

17th February 2021 By Lisa Pryce-Jones

We are all damaged in one way or another.  In life form our body starts off and along its development and its ageing it can become damaged.  We don’t know why this is, it simply happens.  Many in life say that we are here to learn lessons in life and to a degree this is correct.  However, many things can be avoided.  Many things should be avoided.  We all have decisions to make in our life.  We have to take responsibility for ourselves.  We can often blame others for things that have happened to us.  But we can stand up and take action for ourselves to change our situation.  It is always easy to look for somebody else and to say that it is somebody else’s fault.  But every person has to take responsibility for their self. Undoubtedly some people have a much harsher life when compared to … [Read more...]

A few words…Love and Light

14th February 2021 By Lisa Pryce-Jones

Love and light seems a rather strange concoction of words but they go together like bacon and eggs or salt and vinegar.  We all need love in our lives and we all need light.  Together love and light enables us to see the world in a positive way.  By being negative it draws our energy downward.  It makes us feel depleted in our energy field and this can result in unhappiness and in depression even.  We all need connections, we need to feel that what we are doing is worthy of something and we need to know that we are part of something bigger. As communities have broken down over the years, and people have become more insular and more isolated the feeling of comradery has diminished and with this despair and hopelessness has increased.  We need to restore the love in the world.  Love for … [Read more...]

A few words…what kind of fish are you?

6th February 2021 By Lisa Pryce-Jones

The world is currently so divisive.  Whether it is vaccines, affluence, weight, colour, religion, sexuality or anything else for that matter.  What really matters is that we are all human beings on the Earth plane at the same time for a particular purpose.  We can all aspire to achieve but above all the best attribute is to be the best person that you can be.  That certainly means different things to different people but central to the core is how we treat each other.  Helping others is such a fundamental part of mother nature.  We take what we need from the Earth, we cherish it and share whatever we can of it so that others can benefit too. We can sit all alone feeling unconnected and soulless even or we can reach out to others and help wherever possible, developing and nurturing … [Read more...]

A few words…Consider all things before you make decisions

31st January 2021 By Lisa Pryce-Jones

We all have decisions to make in life.  All of our decisions are unique based on our own personal experiences, our own expectations, our own fears and our own drivers for what we perceive to be success.  There is no right and there is no wrong.  United, standing together if you like, we are able to make such change in this world.  And whoever is in charge has a very difficult job to do.  Balancing all opportunities, risks and even threats – "how do I know what to do for the best" is often asked.  But the answers are not outward they are inward.  We need to search inwardly to get the answers that we so need.  We all know what we need really.  But so often it is easier to find answers outwardly because it takes away the responsibility from ourselves. By taking a harsh look inwardly we can … [Read more...]

A few words…Industrious

29th January 2021 By Lisa Pryce-Jones

It is so important, at this stage, for people and for businesses to be able to resume with normal activity.  What has happened to date is both harmful to both people individually and communities collectively as well as countries of course.  Very often in times of difficulty people's comradery will help them to overcome the obstacles faced.  Now is the time for people to come together, to help each other,  to share what they can and to support each other emotionally.  Each and every day by supporting and loving each other everybody has the ability to make a difference in the world. So many people feel so very hopeless at this moment and there is only so much time that professionals have to help people so we need to reach out much further afield where you can make a big difference.  I am … [Read more...]
