What is good about Good Friday many may say. But Good Friday is a time for reflection. A time to look back on life and to consider the hardship and the suffering of many. Each day there is so much suffering in the world and whilst it seems so unfair, at times, suffering is needed on occasions. Suffering is needed so that other people can benefit. However, the world does not have to be that way. If everyone had more compassion for each other and if everyone had more love for each other the world could and would be so very different. For it is only when we prioritise material gain, usually money, over health and wellbeing.
Good Friday is indeed a time for reflection, to look back at the suffering indeed of Jesus Christ, but also to look at the suffering of everybody on this planet now today this very day and it would be a very good Good Friday indeed if those people in influential positions would open their eyes to see the suffering that is going on each and every day and more importantly to do something about it.
You can contribute to making our world a better place. You can buy more selectively, you can engage more considerately. You can deliberate calmly and peacefully, and by taking small steps across the world we will be able to stop the suffering, we will be able to stop people from dying of starvation and from dying of illnesses needlessly. By projecting love all over the world we can unite to develop lasting cohesive communities that are supportive, that are nourishing, nurturing and loving.
So, having reflected, what changes can you make in your world today? What steps can you take to ensure that our world is a better place when you leave it compared to when you came to it? What can you proudly say that you have achieved to help reduce suffering, to promote peace and enhance our world? And if the answer is you don’t think you have contributed, it is never too late because, united we are all able to make significant change for the better.

Last Monday I celebrated my 50th birthday. Having enjoyed several meet ups with friends and family in the lead up to my birthday I decided that I wanted to enjoy my actual birthday somewhere peaceful but could not decide whether I should walk up a mountain, visit a waterfall or go to a beach. Then I put it to the universe asking what did I need (having had a challenging month or so with an escape of water at home). Shortly after I posed my question I came across a Facebook post of the Rhossili Sunflower fields which looked postcard picture perfect and were still in full bloom. I had seen photographs of this in previous years but had never visited there. My decision was made – Rhossili was where I needed to go to ground myself and energise.

As we drove towards the car park sunflowers smiled at us from the roadside. I felt so excited to see the vibrant yellow masses of flowers. As we parked up we firstly had lunch in a lovely café overlooking the sea which I enjoyed with a G&T (well it was my birthday). We then walked along the coastal path, passing the wild horses grazing, to the sunflower fields. It was absolutely amazing to see and brought smiles to everyone’s faces. As well as the fields of sunflowers there were patches of wild flowers too and various flower arches and swings to pose at and capture the moment too. We then sat for a little while up on the cliff just listening to the sea. This was such a special moment – I felt so cleansed by the sea water air and felt such love both within and around me. I gave thanks to the universe for this moment and every moment of my last 50 years. I have been so very fortunate to have experienced many things, both positive and negative, which has moulded me into the person that I am today and I am so very grateful for that.
When we returned home we planted a few of the wild flowers that we purchased there and hoped that they will reappear next year too. Then I looked up the symbolism of Sunflowers and much to my surprise read that sunflowers symbolise unwavering faith and unconditional love. Apparently it is perfect to send sunflowers to your loved one if you want to express exactly how much you adore him/her. We certainly felt the love of the beautiful sunflowers there and if you want to as well they should still be there for a couple more weeks!

Whatever you do this coming weekend I wish you a lovely weekend.

Love is all around us if we look. Love can be found in everything that is around us. As you look up to the sky, as you look at the beauty around you, as you listen to the birds, as you smell and admire the flowers. Everything is made with love. Everything is made for a reason. You have a choice. You can choose to look around, to admire, to appreciate and be part of this love or you can choose to ignore it, to close down your world and see only the negative things. That is your choice. So what is your choice? Only you can make your choice. Only you can make the decision to see this world in a positive manner or a negative manner. Only you can choose your behaviour so that it is negative or positive. So as you look around you consciously take notice of everything that there is to be noticed. Look at the beauty in each blade of grass, in each flower that is formed and each bird that chirps. As you speak to somebody be mindful of the impression that you are giving. Are you being positive? Are you being loving, are you being supportive or are your words or actions the opposite and negative or even harmful?
Easter is indeed a time for reflection and rebirth. We are each able to change ourselves, to create a newer version if you like. As we go through different stages of our lives our needs change and so must our behaviours because we all have the ability to make change within us positive. Each action that we take can have further positive further consequences whether that is in our word, purchasing power or anything else for that matter. And by each and every day changing something we know that the chain reaction will continue and just like a daisy chain going around the world the world can be improved, the world can be cherished, the world can be nurtured benefiting every person that lives upon it. Each bluebell, each daisy, each buttercup is so very precious in our world. So today as you consider moving forward, allow yourself to be born again, as the season changes allow yourself to change and make it a change for the better focussing on what is really important to you. Aspiring to goals that are really meaningful and enjoying your journey along the way, being kind to those around you, being constructive where necessary and being loving to both yourself and those that are your nearest and dearest.
Please share so that others can enjoy it too.

Life is like a canvas, just like the snow. On a new day where the snow has fallen it is so unspoilt, so fresh and so peaceful. When looking at this beautiful snow how can you not appreciate the beauty of it? Each snow flake, each branch that it falls on, should be cherished. The sound of the children as they laugh is immeasurable – such fond memories to be had by all. Some people are indeed better equipped than others and that is no different with life. Some people feel like they are left out in the cold.
Let us embrace these moments for they are meant to be embraced. Use the time wisely to reflect what you want in your life, your life purpose and goals if you like – just like the snow your canvas can be as plain or as colourful as you would like it to be.

W
e all make judgements each and every day without realising it. From the time that we wake in the morning until the time that we go to bed we are assessing, interpreting and judging. Judging can be seen to be a very derogatory word on occasions but this needn’t be the case. When we judge we are often subconsciously comparing things to our own values and then coming up with a conclusion in our own mind if you like about that person or that situation. However, life is full of uncertainty and it’s uncertain for a reason. Everything is fluid, everything is interlinked. There are very few things in life that you can say are certain apart from you are born and at some point you will die.
Everything else has a degree of flexibility and uncertainty. The decisions that we make can vary greatly from person to person dependent upon our life experiences, our expectations and our desired goals. Each and every day we make judgements and that will never change. What can change is how we perceive those judgements. Our values as people are flexible. We will change dependent upon the situations we experience, the way that we are treated and as we see our sense of purpose materialise. As we go through the various stages of life our purpose will change. As we grow into young adults we are finding our self, as we grow into parenthood and adulthood we are striving to achieve things that we want and need in our life and as we go into later years we are more reflective. Having strived so very much earlier on and having learned so many lessons about what is important and what’s not so important along the way. Very often there are no right and no wrongs. It is like a sliding scale and that sliding scale is flexible and it is flexible for a reason.
We have to understand as individuals that everybody is on their own sliding scale with their own experiences, their own hurts and with their own goals. And whilst we can try to influence people ultimately it is their responsibility to take action that they believe is right for them in their judgement. No one has the right to impose any views on anybody else. Everyone must listen to their own intuition and must make their own choice.
So as you sit back now and reflect upon your world, your life, the decisions that you have to make, perhaps you can quietly contemplate and ask yourself what is important to you at this stage in your life. What is important to you? And then and only then will you be able to answer whatever your question is. And when you make your decision, knowing that it is right for you stick to it. Don’t let other people’s viewpoint sway you, for your view, your judgement is equally as valid as anybody else’s. Only you have to live by your life choices and your responsibilities so hold your head high, make your decision and stand by it.

I received these words from spirit this morning and I hope you enjoy them too:
Easter is a time for reflection. We all need time to think about and to evaluate our life, where we are going and where we want to go. We need to consider our values, our sense of responsibility and very often we get side tracked putting what we think are our priorities at the top of our list. However, our priorities are very often other people’s priorities. We can be brainwashed into doing what we think we should be doing and with Easter being a time for reflection it is a good time for everyone to reconsider their priorities. Our families must come first. We work to support our family, to feed our family, to enable us to do things with our family. But when we don’t have our health, we don’t have work and we are not wanted. But our family are there for us, to support us, to nurture us and to love us. Often this lesson comes too late when opportunities have been missed, relationships have been lost or neglected.
Think of a mug – a mug half full. You can think of a mug as either being half full or half empty. We consider it as being half full. We enjoy each mouthful of whatever it is that we are drinking. As we take that sip we taste the flavour, feel the warmth, appreciate having that drink, drink it slowly, cheerily and gratefully. But when we think of the mug as being half empty our thoughts are on what’s gone, what’s in the past, what we have finished and we miss the opportunity to enjoy the remaining half. And it’s exactly the same with life. Each day must be enjoyed. Regardless of where you are on life’s path – your goals, your ambitions …you need to enjoy each and every day. Tomorrow is a gift, today you are here, today you are present and you can enjoy that present moment. No-one can guarantee tomorrow and it is for that very reason that you should do your very best today and whatever that means for you as we are all unique. You should certainly plan for tomorrow. You should certainly have high expectations of ourselves and rise to the challenges. But it should not be at the expense of everything else in your life because when you are surrounded by love you can do so much more. When you are surrounded by love you can do the impossible. That love will help you to climb mountains, overcome huge obstacles.
Perhaps as you enjoy your Easter eggs today as you take each mouthful of chocolate or other treat that you are consuming think about it. Every bite that you take representing your life. Every decision that you make represented by each mouthful eaten. You can choose to eat all of it in one go if you wish or you can eat it over a longer period of time and spread that pleasure over many many more days and have joy each day consuming, focussing and really enjoying it. Which would you prefer to do – be greedy and eat everything in one go or delay it and enjoy it over a much longer period of time? And this is no different with life. Because listening to your heart you know what is good for you, you know what is good for your family and for your world. We all need to contribute and equally we all have values and we have a value. Not everyone is able to achieve the same as other people but that doesn’t make them any less valuable. It is what is inside that really matters. What is inside, just like the chocolate egg, is often a surprise and very often when you open that chocolate egg you find some really wonderful gifts. Whether they are delicious chocolates or whether they are really wonderful attributes of a person – generosity of spirit, humour, affectionate, tactile to name a few. Live well, love more and believe. Believe in yourself, believe in those around you and believe in your ability to contribute to making this world a better place. For this is possible, this is necessary and this is wanted.

(Words channelled on Easter Sunday 12th April 2020 by Lisa Pryce-Jones)
As I meditated yesterday spirit gave me the following message to share:
Surprise, surprise. There is nothing like an element of surprise. Surprise, uncertainty and doubt causes mayhem. Mayhem causes panic and panic causes disorder. Nothing can prepare us for disorder. Disorder on the streets, disorder in the mind and disorder in our life. What we need now is calmness. Calmness to allow time for thought. Time for reflection and time for evaluation. We have options. We can continue to abuse our power or we can take action to restore the balance of nature, have respect both for people and the planet. What will be if we continue down the present pathway? Where will human life degenerate to? Our thoughts, feelings and emotions are all energy. Energy can be projected positively to the world for universal good. If only we wake up and listen to our hearts I hear you say. For this would and could change the entire world. Love your neighbour, love your friend, love your family, love your enemies. For by doing so we will send a healing grid all over the world changing perspective, tolerance, belief and above all changing our future and the future for all to come. Not withstanding money being the core driver for recent actions it is for those in power to reflect, evaluate and learn from these lessons albeit limited actions that can be overcome in due course. Be kind to yourself but also be kind to every living thing and you will not go far wrong. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust the phoenix rises.
