Empowering you to become healthier and happier
Empowering you to become healthier and happier

Self-care is so very important and only we can do it! As a therapist I always ensure that I am in a good place and I enjoy embracing opportunities for learning new things regularly, so that I can be as effective as possible when supporting my clients, and more importantly for nourishing my personal needs. It was my partner David’s birthday earlier this week and I had opportunely spotted that some Maori healers were on tour in the UK from New Zealand and with us both having completed a Maori Healing course in NZ last year I knew that both David and I would love the opportunity to recharge our batteries with some Maori Healing. So a trip to Cheshire for a few days was planned. We firstly completed a workshop where we learned how to use sticks (known as Raakau) as part of our self-healing routine which helps to open up the body and release energy blockages. Then on the second day we enjoyed one-to-one bodywork sessions. Compared to other healing modalities (Spiritual Healing/Reiki) Maori Healing is much more physical (and can be painful too) but we both really enjoyed and benefited from it.
We are just finishing off decorating our new Crystal/Maori Healing room and will be launching Crystal Healing and Maori Healing sessions in line with Healing Awareness Week in May so look out for our Special Offers coming soon!
Meanwhile, what self-care are you doing to help you achieve balance of your mind, body and spirit?
If I can be of assistance just get in touch as I would be delighted to chat further about your needs and share how I maybe able to help you.

Warmest wishes

It is with great sadness that I share that one of my mentors Dr Terence Palmer PhD passed away on New Year’s Eve due to covid.
Dr Palmer was a renowned Hypnotherapist, Healer and specialist in Spirit Release Therapy. His Doctorate at Bangor University was in Spirit Release Therapy and he published several books on the subject. His life mission was to help as many people and train as many hypnotherapists as possible with this modality. Both my partner David and I were very fortunate to have trained in Spirit Release Therapy last year with Dr Palmer along with other hypnotherapists and we will all continue to share his valuable and effective techniques.
I know that Dr Palmer will still help all of those people who he trained from afar and that his life’s work will continue to flourish.
Rest in peace Dr Palmer.

Gratitude is a little understood concept in the West. It is the basis of life…giving and taking…and being grateful for everything that we have. The basic things in life are so special. They are timeless and you cannot buy them. You are not entitled to them. Each day by being more aware of what you have, what you need and more importantly what you don’t have and don’t need is very empowering and thought provoking too. Perhaps at this important time of year you can take some time to reflect on everything that you can be grateful for in your life and when considering your wish list for 2020 perhaps you can really think about what you truly need to give you greater inner peace and satisfaction.
Time is a healer in many ways and will indeed help many who have had a difficult year but it is also much more than that. Time enables us to reflect, evaluate, take stock and when right take action to move forward in the right direction for us. We don’t know what our future holds, but we can forward plan should we choose to do so. But we must all try to make the most of each moment that we are lucky enough to have. Remember tomorrow is not guaranteed, the past is history, tomorrow is a mystery and today, being present, really is a present so enjoy, embrace and treasure.
Daffodils are only just around the corner so start to plan, build and treasure the seasons, events, experiences and opportunities that lay ahead.
Treasure and be treasured.
Love and be loved.
Show gratitude and receive gratitude.
Value and be valued.
Kindest wishes / Nameste
