Earlier this week it was an absolute pleasure to take Tibetan Monk Ahbay Rinpoche to visit Caerphilly Castle. We hope you enjoy this YouTube video:-
Ahbay Rinpoche was born 1973 and at aged 7 he became a monk at the Gaden Monastery in South India where he studied and at age 9 took vows with His Holiness Dalai Lama’s senior tutor Kabje Ling Rinpoche who bestowed upon him the name Thubten Tendar. Then at age 12 His Holiness Dalai Lama recognised him as the 3rd reincarnation of Ahbay Rinpoche. He extensively studied Buddhist philosophy from age 13 to 35 and attained the title Geshe meaning Dr of Buddhist philosophy. He is the head of the Yega Choling Monastery in South India. Since the completion of his studies Ahbay Rinpoche has been travelling the world (for over 15 years), including the UK and Europe, annually where he shares his wisdom, understanding and knowledge with sensitivity, compassion, kindness and humour too!
