It’s Mental Health Awareness Week…How is your sleeping?

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week today I gave a presentation to Companies House staff on the powerful benefits to your body of sleeping better in order to live longer. This included a relaxing hypnotherapy session.

Many people underestimate the power of sleep.  Did you know that sleeping less than 6-7 hours per night:-

 

  • demolishes your immune system and more than doubles your risk of cancer
  • increases the risk of you developing Alzeimer’s disease
  • increases the risk of heart failure and stroke
  • contributes to all major psychiatric conditions (including anxiety, depression and suicide).
