We’re delighted to announce that the net funds raised at our forthcoming Mind, Body & Spirit event on Saturday 29th November (10am–4pm) will be donated to our chosen cause – Medical Reiki Works.

In 2023, while David and I attended the Reiki Event of the Century in Japan, we had the honour of meeting Dr. Sheldon Marc Feldman, the renowned breast surgeon from Montefiore Einstein Hospital in New York. He shared with everyone at the conference, along with (now late) Raven Keyes, the pioneering work that they were carrying out giving Reiki to clients before, during and following surgery. We trained in Medical Reiki with Raven Keyes in 2021. Raven was the main healer working alongside Dr. Feldman as a Reiki Healer in theatre. Their pioneering collaboration (along with Raven’s work with Dr Mehmet Oz with open heart surgery) helped bring Reiki into the operating room, showing how energy healing can beautifully complement medical science.

With your support at our upcoming event, we’re proud to help raise funds for Medical Reiki Works, which is currently supporting a groundbreaking pilot study at Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Cancer Center in Brooklyn, NY:

“Medical Reiki for an Ethnically Diverse Sample of Women Undergoing Breast Cancer Surgery: Impact on Quality of Life, Medical Recovery Metrics, and Cortisol.”

This important research is now in its second year and is helping to demonstrate how Reiki can improve recovery, lower stress, and enhance wellbeing in medical settings”.

Reiki is already being offered in over 800 hospitals worldwide — let’s work together to make it more widely available here in Wales too!
